Magdalena Szczypka health psychologist, fitness coach, and fitness instructor
I am a health psychologist, fitness coach, and fitness instructor.
This unique combination allows me to integrate scientific theory with practical, body-focused methods to support people holistically – both mentally and physically.
I hold a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Wrocław (2019–2024), where I focused on clinical psychology, health behavior change, and the psychological foundations of well-being.
As part of my academic training, I wrote a master’s thesis titled:
“Behavior Change Intention and Sedentary Behavior in Older Adults: Engagement in Active Breaks and Physical Activity.”
During my studies, I participated in the scientific project “Active Akcja,” coordinated by the research team of Prof. Aleksandra Łuszczyńska at SWPS University.
The project aimed to reduce sedentary behavior and promote physical activity through evidence-based psychological interventions.
In addition, I completed clinical internships in a hospital setting, including both an addiction treatment ward and a somatic medicine ward. These experiences deepened my understanding of the close connection between psychological functioning and physical health, and emphasized the importance of a holistic, person-centered approach in professional practice.
My Fitness Background
Before becoming a psychologist, I worked as a certified fitness instructor and fitness coach.
I completed professional training through organizations such as IFAA, bodyART school, Open Mind, and ProFi Fitness School, gaining a strong foundation in functional movement, body awareness, and holistic training methods.
I have extensive experience leading group classes for diverse clients – always with an emphasis on improving physical strength, overall well-being, and the mind–body connection.
I specialized in formats such as Healthy Spine, Pilates, and bodyART®, which focus on posture, mobility, balance, and mental clarity.
As a fitness coach, I focus on body shaping and supporting clients in building consistency, confidence in movement, and a sustainable, positive relationship with physical activity.
Beyond Work
In my free time, I enjoy snowboarding, mindful training, spending time in nature, and catching up with friends.
Active rest helps me recharge, stay grounded, and maintain a healthy connection with myself and others.
